Cafe Sauerwein in Schwangau

We stopped there after a hike. A huge selection of pies and cakes awaited us. The coffee was delicious and very nice staff.

Large selection and a cozy atmosphere that invites you to drink coffee.

Decent parking space. Clean WCs. Sandwiches and cakes are very good. An excellent place to stop when in Schwangau. Good view of countryside with farm land, castle, lake, hills. Many affordable overnight places nearby.

We found out about this bakery via Google and were super satisfied with our breakfast! Absolutely fair in terms of price and a solid selection! Parking without problems!

A lot of choice of cakes / pies, plum cake mega delicious ..... The small dishes are simply great, goulash soup, bacon dumpling soup, Allgäu cheese soup, cheese spaetzle & goulash soup? Were there twice during our vacation in Füssen. (Self-service)

The Bäckerei-Konditorei-Eiscafé Sauerwein is located directly on the B17, the through-town of Schwangau. Cakes, baked goods, ice cream and coffee are available to take away, but you can also take a seat in the cafe and enjoy. When the weather is good, there are also some seats outside - but then you literally sit on the street. The interior of the cafe is not a jewel either, rather it is appropriately furnished. We sat down in the cafe for ice cream and coffee on a sunny October afternoon. The white coffee was good. According to the information on the café's website, the self-made ice cream didn't convince us. It was interspersed with watery ice crystals - not a taste highlight. Maybe we were just there too late in the season. Next time we'll try cake or tart; they all looked very good.

The cabbage donuts are very tasty, I had expected more from the rolls, they were very "bloated" and not very filling.

A great café with a good range of cakes and other dishes and a very friendly atmosphere and service. We were here on vacation and were very enthusiastic about this great café, we can only keep it up, simply SUPER.

Very nicely furnished café with seating inside and also on the terrace. Unfortunately located directly on the main street. The selection of cakes and pies is very large and we found some nice pieces to take away. The service wasn't exactly friendly, but it wasn't rude either. There are more people going! In the end, we liked the cakes at home in the apartment.

Was here on vacation and must say, the best bakery far and wide. The small dishes that can be enjoyed in the restaurant or on the outside terrace are also highly recommended, as is the delicious ice cream and cakes. What I liked very much, the boss does not tolerate any corona violations, Anyone who comes in with an inadequate mask or does not keep the distance will be corrected immediately with her calm, friendly manner. I felt very protected here. It was a pleasure.

Hygiene regulations !!! what hygiene regulations! it doesn't seem to exist here. Guests walk in and out of the same entrance, though there are 2 doors. Tables are not disinfected when guests leave the cafe. New guests immediately sit down again. Total exception in Schwangau! PLEASE BE CAREFUL !!!

The food is ok. But customer service doesn’t exist here. People are grumpy and impatient. Don’t recommend!

Cakes, pies and other delicacies are highly recommended. You can also sit well here. However, without a view of the mountains. The staff could be friendlier.

This place is fine. Location is ok, and they have a parking for the clients. Staff is a bit "not so young", but they were friendly and nice to me. Coffee was good, just a milk for the coffee is a bit sweet. I don't know how good is the food, but it looked good.

The older woman working on Feb 21, 2019 (Maybe the owner) was the most rude person to my family. She hurried them through their order very impatiently. I had dropped them off just up the street when we passed this place and then circled back to park. They got confused when they could find me where I dropped them off and went back inside and snacked on their order. Since they got there food to go, the women was rude again and told them disdainfully that they should not have ordered to go if they were eating in. It takes quite a lot to upset my wife and she was very sore about the whole incident. I would not recommend this place for that reason alone but also the cheesecake sucked...

Very nice self-service café. We were there on our vacation twice for breakfast and once for lunch. The breakfast is very rich and the price is completely okay. The quality of the baked goods is great. For lunch I had a farmer's salad, which was very generous and very fresh.

Good things: -Great cake selection -Great pastry selection -Great sandwich selection -very good coffee and tea -Nice and pretty view over some beautiful cosy houses and the Neuschwanstein castle in distance -nice interiors Bad or soso things: -English understanding of the staff was a bit soso. Conclusion: Great place for breakfast, afternoon tea or for takeaway cakes, I recommend it
